| Carlo G. Nicolis, M.D. provides a full range of urologic care, including treatment for prostate cancer, bladder and kidney cancer, and has developed a special interest in the treatment of stone disease. He uses the newest diagnostic techniques and treatment available for patients with kidney, ureteral, or bladder calculi (stones).
Carlo G. Nicolis M.D. received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. After working in endocrinology on diabetes research, he matriculated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Following his graduation from medical school, Dr. Nicolis completed 2 years of General Surgical training and 4 years of Urology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After completion of his training Dr. Nicolis practiced general Urology in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, Maryland for two years, joining Associates in Urology in 2007. Dr. Nicolis' clinical interests include endoscopic and minimally invasive treatment of stone disease as well as the newest treatments for benign enlargement of the prostate glands in males (BPH). Additionally Dr. Nicolis is fully trained in and well exposed to the treatment of all facets of urologic cancer treatment including laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgical procedures.
