Elizabeth Chapman Shaid RN, MSN, CRNP
Elizabeth Chapman Shaid received her bachelors degree, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She cares for people with a variety of Urologic needs, and specializes in the behavioral management of overactive bladder, incontinence and pelvic tension. Through the use of exercise, biofeedback, diet and activity moderation, patients learn how to manage their bladder issues, often without the use of pharmaceuticals or surgery. In addition, these modalities are often beneficial for patients who have undergone surgical procedures which have left them with some bladder function disorders.

Ms. Shaid works with patients suffering with Interstitial Cystitis throughout the acute exacerbation of their disease process as well as developing diet and medical management for long-term care of IC. Women with pelvic floor support issues, referred to as prolapse, cystocele or rectocele, will get help with the fitting and maintenance of pessaries that help maintain support of the pelvic floor. Bryn Mawr Urology participates in scientific research with the pharmaceutical and biomedical device industries in order to improve the way we care for our patients. If you are looking into participating in one of our clinical trials, she serves as the Trial Coordinator for all clinical trials at Bryn Mawr Urology.
