The Prostate Center Takes Aim
(King of Prussia, PA) The Prostate Center, in conjunction with the Fox Chase Cancer Center, is proud to offer our patients a major advancement in radiation therapy treatments. RapidArc™ radiotherapy technology is a method of radiation treatment that allows more of the radiation to be directed at the cancer site and less radiation to reach the surrounding healthy tissue. RapidArc™, also known as Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) is the most progressive application that can be executed on a linear accelerator. This differs from conventional therapy by treating the patient with a continuous 360 degree arc which improves the consistency of the dosage delivery. Each treatment takes only five minutes compared to the average 15 minutes with standard radiation therapy. For more information on the Prostate Center in King of Prussia, PA click
