Academic Urology's 6th Annual Survivors Day Event Scheduled for June

Over 400 people, patients and family members,joined physicians and staff from Academic Urology and Fox Chase Radiation Oncology Associates on June 4th at the Valley Forge Casino & Resort in King of Prussia to celebrate annual National Survivors' Day.
More than 1,300 patients have been invited to the celebration.
 
Survivors Day is a national event, held the first Sunday of June, to recognize and honor the patients and family members who have overcome the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. This event includes survivors of prostate cancer and other urologic cancers, treated by Academic Urology.
 
The event includes a luncheon, entertainment, and remarks from Academic Urology physicians and staff. 
 
"Each year our ranks of cancer survivors grows," said Tina Wells, RT, Chief Therapist and Manager of the Academic Urology Prostate Center. "It is always wonderful when we can gather with our patients and their loved ones to celebrate their courage and perserverance."
