Kalyn Harmer Named Marketing Director for Academic Urology
(August 1, 2011) Academic Urology has named Kalyn Harmer as Director of Marketing. In this role, Ms. Harmer will be responsible for a wide range of marketing, communications, and public relations activities to support Academic Urology's service to patients, physicians, and the community. Ms. Harmer joins Academic Urology from Main Line Health, where she was responsible for marketing radiology services. Academic Urology Adds Four Physicians
(June 1, 2011) Academic Urology has added four urologists to the organization. David Altman, MD; Matthew Gerstein, MD; Jeffrey Gordon, MD; and Richard Landau, MD see patients in Sellersville, Quakertown, and Lansdale. The addition of these four board-certified urologists brings to 36 the total number of urologists in Academic Urology, the largest urologic practice in Pennsylvania. "All the physicians and staff within Academic Urology share a commitment to quality and excellence in patient care," said David J. Ellis, MD, president and CEO of Academic Urology. "Drs. Landau, Gordon, Altman, and Gerstein are outstanding doctors and we are pleased have them as part of the Academic team." Lets Talk; Man to Man
(May 12, 2011) Academic Urology, The Prostate Center and The American Cancer Society were proud to host the latest Prostate Cancer Education and Support Group session, Man to Man. This support group meets bi-monthly to focus on the latest in prostate news, treatments and education. “We concentrate on the patient’s desire to gain knowledge and have a fellowship with others,” said Amber Bailey, Prostate Center Chief Therapist. This month’s Man to Man session, led by Dr. Frank D’Elia, was an educational discussion on prostate cancer and various treatments available. “I really enjoyed Dr. D’Elia’s straight forward answers to our questions, with an added sprinkle of humor,” said one of our guests.
