Ninth Annual Survivors Day Draws 400 Academic Urology Patients and Families
This year's event was held at Presidential Caterers in Norristown and featured remarks from David J. Ellis, MD, president of Academic Urology, and Mark L. Sobczak, MD, the Fox Chase Cancer Center physicians who oversees radiation oncology services at the Prostate Center. Survivors Day is a national event recognizing those who have beaten a cancer diagnosis.
"Our annual Survivors Day event is one of the best days of the year for all the physicians, technicians, and staff of the Prostate Center," Dr. Ellis said. "We develop close relationships with our patients and their families during treatment, and it is a great opportunity to come together each year to celebrate their health and well-being."
The Academic Urology Prostate Center, located in King of Prussia, is dedicated solely to the treatment of men with prostate cancer. It is one of the area's leading providers of prostate cancer treatment.
