The Prostate Center Earns High Honors for Radiation Care

Academic Urology and the Fox Chase Cancer Center, located in King of Prussia, PA, are pleased to announce the Prostate Center has earned accreditation in Radiation Oncology Practice by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This national organization focuses on the practice of medical imaging, quality radiation oncology, and the delivery of comprehensive health services.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of practice quality and patient safety and is awarded to facilities that meet stringent ACR guidelines and standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists.

“This accreditation in oncology affirms the commitment of the physicians and staff to provide men in the community with high quality prostate radiation services, “said Dr. Mark Sobczak, Radiation Oncologist at the Prostate Center.

Located at 200 S. Gulph Road, Suite 200, in King of Prussia, PA, the Prostate Center offers full-service radiation oncology services including the latest technology, RapidArc®. The center is staffed by radiation oncologists from the Fox Chase Cancer Center, board-certified radiation therapists, medical physicist specializing in radiation oncology and an oncology nurse who work to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient.
