Marita Truax, BSN, RN

Marita Truax is the radiation oncology nurse at the Academic Urology Prostate Center. She has been a nurse for 30 years. She is currently certified in clinical research and has prior certification in Emergency and Trauma nursing. Prior to coming to work at The Prostate Center, she worked as a surgical research coordinator and nurse navigator at the Barbara Brodsky Comprehensive Breast Center in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. For more than 10 years she worked with breast cancer patients managing their care from diagnosis through survivorship. Marita obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Neumann University in 1988. Upon graduating, she worked as an Emergency and Trauma nurse for over 20 years. Her many years of experience, along with her cheerful personality, help our patients and their families feel at ease during their course of treatment.
