Academic Urology Lab Re-Certified by College of American Pathologists

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) has re-certified Academic Urology's pathology laboratory, located at the Prostate Center in King of Prussia.

The Lab is accredited again for a period of two years. Accreditation means that the Academic Urology Lab has met the highest national standards for clinical quality, safety, and management. "We...commend your achievement of the 'gold standard' of laboratory accreditation," a CAP offical wrote in announcing the certification. The Academic Urology pathology laboratory is dedicated exclusively to serving the clinical and diagnostic needs of Academic Urology patients. "Accreditation represents tremendous teamwork by our physicians, technicians, and administrators," said David J. Ellis, MD, president of Academic Urology. "It is particularly gratifying to see how their hard work pays off in the high quality and excellent service the Lab provides our patients and physicians."
